Not the Boss of Me

I've been winding yarn for Rachel, who has developed this amazing new cotton tape exclusively for Laumier Sculpture Garden.

She gave me two mini skeins to play around with. I offered to knit up samples for her, but since they were mini skeins, they won't knit up like the longer skeins.

So these two skeins are just for me ... to do whatever I liked with them ... as I wished ... anything at all. No one is the boss of me. Except Rachel, technically.

I made a linen stitch belt.
I love varigated yarns, but the pooling and flashing can drive me crazy.
Linen stich breaks that all up.

I also hate the limited options for cheap-ass buckles available at the fabric store. So today, on my lunch break, I went to Goodwill, found a buckle I liked, cut the belt off, and voila.

Noticed said belt and thought it was charming. Good job, now I want to knit one!
