Mirabelle's Heffalump

Since I had bought a book of knitted toy patterns for the sock monkey swap, I decided to make an elephant for my neighbor's first birthday. Later, I found out that her birthday party theme was owls, so I probably should have made this, but whatev.

Her bedroom is chocolate and pink, so I knitted this shy, little heffalump.


There were lots of fiddly little pieces, shaping, color changes, stuffing, and duplicate stitch.


I also added a little, braided tail although the pattern didn't call for one.


Hope she likes it.
