No Knitting Content

Why not?

Because I just now finished working up a kick-ass, forty-minute Power Point presentation on nineteenth-century itinerant dancing masters. I drew from diary entries, ladies' magazines, anti-dancing Christian tracts, Charles Dickens, sheet music, and classified ads. To whit,

I'm in that post-writing euphoria, that time when I think, "Why don't I write for a living?" It's that time when I love every word in the English language, when I don't give a crap about what my co-presenter (he-who-does-not-return-phone-calls) has to say because my writing, well, my writing will kick his ass.

Now I just need to pack, drive 200 miles, conduct a workshop, give said presentation, change into and out of Civil War clothes more times than I can count, and be a rock star to boot.

Thanks, Deborah, for linking to Dances with Wools. I just added you to my blog list.

How'd the presentation go?

Cheers,
Linda

The last time I saw you give a presentation you were absolutely brilliant -- by far the best one on your panel. I'm sure you'll blow Mr. No Phone Calls out of the water. In fact I hope you go second in your presentation so that you will leave the audience with no doubts as to who actually prepared for the presentation and who blew it off. (I presume this is the one in Illinois?)

Good luck!

Thanks! The organizer was grumbling about him yesterday, so it's not just me. I've known this guy for 15+ years, and he does know his stuff at least.

I opted to go first, just so I could see the horrific realization dawn on him that he was going to have to scramble to step up his game.

Talk is today at 1. I've double checked the technology, gone over my notes, eaten a good breakfast, and have even scheduled some time to visit the two LYSs.
