- Check out the amazing vintage knit haul that Dr. Knitter made at her local flea market. Way cool.
- Today, inspired by Carrie and by $4.00/gal gasoline and by a cranky van, I took the bus to school. Only one guy was talking to himself. Other than forgetting my knitting, so far so good. Now I just need to make my way home again.
- At knitting guild on Saturday, they announced that we are incredibly far behind in our charity hat production. It's easy to forget that people really need these hats. So we're to try to make two a month between now and November. I'm not good at math, but I think that's eight. Stay tuned.
- I have finished Diana's miser's purse.
- I made a necklace out of a vintage mother-of-pearl buckle and thought I looked pretty damn cute, until the butcher told me I'd startled him. He thought I'd gotten a trach tube. This from a man who cuts up raw meat for a living. I don't know what to think.

Well I like the necklace!
Pretty damn cute is my vote, and I saw it in person but was in a hurry so I didn't voice my opinion on its' non-trachey-ness.
Can I bring you some hats Kara and I have stocked up for donation? Some are small kid sized. Don't know if that matters.
That is too funny!!! The purse you made is so neat! What is a miser's purse anyway?
