Last Day at Work

I've had about a bazillion weird jobs in my life:
[edited to add a few more weird jobs I recalled]

  • selling Silver Queen corn at a roadside stand
  • chauffeuring a creepy old man with glaucoma
  • private chef
  • helping run a 78 rpm record auction
  • tutoring in Spanish
  • clerical work at Maserati
  • formatting labels for the codeine cough syrup that spawned a rap genre
  • working in a granite yard
  • sheep sitting
  • quail sitting
  • chicken sitting
  • poison dart frog sitting
  • being a rock star
  • bookkeeping for a frame store
Today is my last day at my bookkeeping job. After 5 1/2 years, it's well past time.

Up next, a job in my LYS! I couldn't be more excited.

It may not be a good idea for me to be around so much yarn on a regular basis. I'm already using my employee discount. And I was right; they are out to get me. They've confessed to ordering Mardi Gras yarns and leaving them strewn about.

Well, if it's the one I'm thinking about (and love dearly), they had Mardi Gras yarn just sitting out like it belonged right by the front door. Such nerve!
