Met with another producer higher up the food chain yesterday and finally met the main contestant. He was surprisingly nice--very candid and friendly. Still no news on a contract though. I finally told the producer I wouldn't be giving any private dance lessons until I had a signed contract in hand.
This all sounds much more important than it really is. Honestly. My filming part will only be one day, plus private lessons, plus costume rental.
The filming is here, about 1 hour from St. Louis. It will air on network TV, but not one of the big three networks. That's all I know to date, but I'll post more as I can.
Meanwhile, the sweater progresses. The back is done, the front begun, and since the front and back are identical, let's take a close-up look at the pattern shall we? And remember, it's therapy, so I don't really care if the recipient will like it.
What do you think? Too Kevin Spacey?

Sort of Kevin Spacey/Danny Thomas. But, I honestly don't think that's a bad thing. If it's a fun knit, who cares? I bet someone into retro would love it.
It's all about personal flair. If the wearer adds some funky pants or a jaunty chapeau, he'll make it his own. I have a fuzzy pink sweater that I love, but to keep it from being too girly, I wear it with my you-ain't-never-seen-such-funkiness cowboy boots.
Lord, you know LB. He has been known to wear a beret, but never ever ever would he be seen in what are could be called funky pants.
I've been thinking that it's something he won't be crazy about but that he'll find himself wearing a lot b/c it's easy to slip on.
Plus, he can spill coffee on it to his heart's content.
