Life Intervenes

I am knitting, I promise, but I haven't really any pictures to show. I've got a number of things in progress and am even going to make it to Knit Night for the first time in three weeks. I'm thinking of knitting that merino into as many sleeping caps as I can.

But at the moment, I've been obsessed, absolutely obsessed as is my wont, with perforated paper and with researching the history of such. I spend hours looking at beauties like this temperance motto. Or this lovely:

I've been cranking out the needlework, not cranking out the grading. LB has pointed out to me that I'm only making different muscles in my hands hurt. The house is a mess. The laundry is wrinkling in the dryer.

You know what? I'm really just fine with all that.

Those perforated paper samplers are lovely and the period frames are so great. I've been admiring them on e-bay for a while. Hope the Wednesday bloodwork appointment went well.

"Oh yeah, the bloodwork..." says me, trying to pretend like I'd forgotten instead of actually deciding not to go right now. Since it's public health, they don't actually take appointments unless you're willing to wait a month, so I could have potentially sat there all day, and I just wasn't feeling up for it. I figured I'd just gotten 3 sunburns in 2 weeks, so that ought to have been good for some Vitamin D. I'll put the bloodwork on the list of things to do one of these days.
