I won't be posting much for the next few weeks. Last night, we got our new puppy we'd been hoping for for such a long time. He's sweet and loving and is going to need a gentle hand to guide him. Since I don't have a computer at home I'll be spending time offline socializing the little guy. It's all as it should be, but I'll be posting less for awhile.

I'll try not to make this a doggy blog, but since he wants to be in my lap all the time, I'm not sure how much knitting will be accomplished.

Hi, I am Megan's neighbor and donated our old crate to your adorable new puppy. He's absolutely beautiful! I'm curious about how you got a 5 month old. Is he a rescue? Our first Cav. male lived to be 12. After his death we rescued two through Lucky Star Cavalier Rescue. It is a wonderful organization. Our dogs are both 3. I know there are other great breeds but these dogs are so loving, eager to please, and love being with humans.Congratulations!
Thanks so much Katy! Steuey loves his crate and just snuggles into it with no problem. Basically, we had met the breeder through a mutual friend and had talked to him about wanting a Cav. In January, they'd had a litter with 4 males and with the economy the way it is, people aren't buying purebred dogs. He's not technically a rescue, but it is sort of a "placement" situation. He's doing great, although I'm making myself paranoid by reading about their potential health issues.
Count your blessings. When your puppy is no longer a puppy and still tries to sit in your lap, remember that some people have German Shepherds (oof).
