Rogue Roses

I spent two days feverishly working on the ruffled roses scarf. Again, I had this fantasy of showing up at knit night in a gorgeous new scarf. I was also really proud of myself for not buying new yarn. While the pattern called for alpaca worsted, I substituted some wool needlepoint yarn Ann had given me.

Two days of feverish knitting. I'd look up and find LB looking at me and laughing.

All was going well until I put it on.

It looks like it's choking the life out of me, like the suitors in Sleeping Beauty.

As with all fairy tales, let this be a lesson. Wool worsted does not scrunch up like alpaca.

But there are no pictures? I'll have to wait to see it in person?
