Next!

After completing the socks, I needed a break for my hands, so naturally I picked up some mohair. It seemed to make sense at the time. Likewise, so does knitting for Mardi Gras (Feb. 5 next year) in May.

And the pattern? It, of course, makes sense to knit arm warmers to wear with a tank top for an early February event.

If you look closely at the model, she's blowing up a balloon. Maybe it's a sign that she's really a clown working at a children's party.

Maybe it's a sign that I should rethink this whole plan.

In other news, I did not get the job. I'm set for next year anyway, but I'd really like to be permanently off the market.

I've got a gig in Potosi tonight, which means I will miss both the Soulard square dance and Knit Night.

Sorry to hear about the job. I was pulling for you.

There are 32 people with my name. I've met the nephew of one of them. He owns a local restaurant and was incredibly confused when I wrote a check there. He asked his mom, "What's Aunt Peg's middle name?"

There are 8 with my name. I'm so sorry about the job. I hate the job market. At least you're not out in the cold, figuratively speaking. And, what's wrong with the arm warmers? I love the colorations. Bet you're the only there with 'em.
