Argosy

As is often the case when I intended to start on one project, I ended up working on another. Instead of knitting a river, I went with Argosy.

I began last night, and I'm sure it will look much more clear with blocking, but I'm fairly enchanted with the way the self-striping is developing.

The yarn is my souvenir yarn from New York--Rowan's Tapestry--and I'm afraid it's a bit stinky. Maybe it's the soy content, or maybe it's the wool, but there's a funny whiffiness to it as I knit.

Tapestry comes in a lot of lovely colors; I chose "Antique" because I had a need for a brownish scarf. It also coordinates nicely with tortoiseshell cat butt.
